"Evacuspot" - 2015
Stainless Steel - 14' x 4' x 6" - New Orleans, LA.
Seventeen identical figures sited throughout New Orleans. The sculptures, commissioned by the New Orleans Arts Council and Evacuteer.org, will serve as icon/signs to designate gathering points for transportation out of the city in the event of mandatory evacuation. Each of New Orleans' 300 transit drivers will wear a pin depicting this artwork as part of their uniform to raise awareness of this emergency service.
